Gilded Matón
Card text
Playable in Go Solo
Play You may defeat a friendly Gear. If you do, defeat a rival Unit with cost 3 or less.
How this card works
The Play is the reason to play this 4-Eddie, 3-power Unit. You may defeat one of your own Gear; if you do, you defeat a rival Unit with cost 3 or less. Check cost, not power: a cheap but strong Unit is a legal target, while an expensive weak one is not.
Use a Gear you do not mind losing. Kiroshi Optics costs 1 Eddie and may already have done its job of letting you look at a face-down Legend. Viktor Vektor: You Might Feel a Little Pinch can bring it back, since his Play plays a CYBERWARE Gear with cost 2 or less from your trash for free onto another Unit.
The whole effect is optional, and the FAQ confirms you may defeat your Gear even when your Rival has no Unit. In attack, 3 power steals one Gig. It needs 2 Yellow RAM.
