How this card works

La Llorona isn't built to attack, though at 3 power for 3 Eddies she can steal one Gig. Her value is Blocker: spend her to redirect a rival Unit's attack onto her, and each time she does, increase a Gig by up to 3.

The ruling to remember: the Gig goes up before the fight, so you keep the increase even if she is defeated right after. 'Up to 3' includes 0, so you can leave the dice as they are. There's no limit on redirects, so after her another friendly Blocker can take the attack.

That makes blocking worth doing on its own. Goro Takemura: Vengeful Bodyguard turns each Blocker use into a discard-and-draw, and the raised Gigs help reach the 8+ that Kerry Eurodyne: The Last Rockerboy looks for.
