How this card works

Sandayu Oda: Hanako's Guardian costs 7 Eddies for 8 power. When you play it, you spend a rival Unit for each friendly value-pair of Gigs, and spent Units are the only ones that can be attacked. It can also attack rival Units the turn it is played, which completes the plan.

Build the pairs first. Peace Offering sets one Gig to another's value for 1 Eddie and draws a card when you control a pair. Hanako Arasaka: Daughter of the Emperor draws 1 per pair at the start of your turn, so the same dice work twice.

The FAQ blocks the common mistake: the permission only covers rival Units, and you still cannot attack ready ones. Spend first, then attack. A Gig counts toward only one pair, and attacking a Unit never steals.
