Overwatch: Panam's Gift
Card text
How this card works
Overwatch: Panam's Gift is a Gear: you equip it to a friendly Unit or face-up Legend as usual and it gives +4 power. Its ability costs 1 Eddie and a Spend: discard 1 card, then defeat a spent rival Unit whose cost is equal to or less than the discarded card's cost. Thanks to Quick you can use it as a reaction when a rival Unit attacks, and since attacking spends the attacker, you can defeat it before it steals.
A face-up Legend that you do not need to spend for anything else is a comfortable carrier, for example Saburo Arasaka: Stubborn Patriarch. MaxTac Squadron can ready that Legend at the end of your turn, if the Squadron itself is spent then.
The FAQ says that with an empty hand you cannot discard, so the rest of the effect does not happen. The 4 Green RAM is a real deck-building cost.
