How this card works

Paying 5 Eddies for +3 power is poor value while the wearer is alive. What you are buying is the Defeated trigger: when the equipped Unit is defeated, play another Unit with cost 9 or less from your trash for free, then bottom-deck the defeated Unit.

So put it on something cheap that you expect to lose. Secondhand Bombus costs 2 Eddies, has Blocker and goes to 3 power with the chip, so it dies when you choose to block. A strong return is Adam Smasher: Metal Over Meat, who comes back for free and defeats all other Units on entry - including yours.

The defeated Unit goes to the trash first, so any other Gear on it stays in the trash when the Unit is bottom-decked. Damage prevention works against you here: if the Unit is saved from defeat, the trigger never starts.
