How this card works

For 1 Eddie a rival Unit gets -1 power this turn and you draw 1. The draw happens either way, and the FAQ confirms you can play it with no rival Units, so it never costs you a card. It needs only 1 Blue RAM.

That single point matters most in close fights. When both Units have the same power, both lose, so lowering the attacker by 1 saves your defender. Royce: Don't Call Me Simon defeats a rival Unit with power 2 or less on Play, and the FAQ confirms power reduced this turn counts. Bonnie and Clyde works the same way against power 4 or less.

Quick means you can also play it when a rival Unit attacks, in addition to your own Main phase. Fights compare power in the fight step, so the reduction has to resolve before that.
